Anping Old Street is the oldest street in Taiwan, and this street has a long history that can be traced back to the Zheng Chenggong period. It is an important historical and cultural stronghold in Taiwan.
About Anping Old Street
“Yanping Street” next to Anping Castle, also known as “Anping Old Street”, is the first road built by the Dutch in Anping more than 300 years ago, and is also known as “Taiwan’s First Street”. There are many specialty stores, such as Orange Shop, Guzaowei Tongwan Snack Shop, and a century-old candied fruit shop that is salty and sweet. In recent years, it has also driven the prosperity of neighboring streets, including “Gubao Street”, “Pingsheng Road”, “Zyezhong Street”, “Anbei Road” and “Canal Road”, etc., and gradually developed into “Anping Commercial District”.
Walk on the road

The starting point of our old street this time is from Tianhou Temple. There are activities at Tianhou Temple that day, and the road is very crowded. There are also some stalls near Thean Hou Temple, there are game vendors, clothing vendors and traditional food and so on.

Next, I walked outside the Anping Castle. There are also many vendors outside. There are obviously more stalls selling food, such as smoothies and so on.

Entering the old street, we walked into a place that sells dried fruit, ancient and early childhood toys and snacks. In the store, a variety of dried fruits are displayed, including sweet mango, dried guava and the like. The choices are very diverse. All the toys and snacks in it belong to the very early days, such as bamboo guns, cola candies, etc. These things make my parents miss them very much.

I went back to the outside to receive it. Maybe because of the relationship at noon, there are fewer and fewer stalls in the back, but there are still some well-known stalls that still open their stores under the sun.
