Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology. It is quiet and beautiful here, with a forest tunnel on the road, but what always impresses me is the vast and boundless Black-winged Stilt Pool in front of the school gate.
About Black-winged Stilt Pool
Typhoon Tanmei in 1990 caused serious flooding in Kaohsiung area. In order to improve the campus flood control mechanism, the school started to plan this ecological pool, which was completed at the end of 1992; Transit bird – stilt plover, hence the name “(plover) pond”.
