History of this Old Street
In the early days, there was a deep Shenkeng market. The products sold at the time were mainly tea and dyes. The roads were dirt roads and the houses were thatched huts. There was a fire at a temple fair, causing damage to the thatched hut. The local people built their houses into tile houses and used red bricks for the walls to prevent future fires. Now the house that appears in Shenkeng Old Street is [Tujiao Cuo].

Because of the holidays, there are many more people. Although the whole old street is not very long, there are many restaurants, tea shops and shops selling daily necessities.
The restaurants here are basically all about stinky tofu. Like spicy stinky tofu, fried stinky tofu and so on.
Personally, I think the quality of the tea here is very good. The cold-brewed tea that has been brewed by the store has a very strong aroma compared to the green tea sold in convenience stores. It is highly recommended to come here to buy a few packets of tea leaves or a bottled green tea that has already been brewed.
There are also some special Art and toys from more than 20 years ago, for Taiwan’s ancient toys, you can go in and have a look.
